Content Policy

1. Scope

toona is a chat service with fictional characters. All characters are fictional.

2. Allowed

Romance, emotional expression, and dramatic or dark storytelling with fictional characters are allowed. Sexually explicit depiction is not provided.

AI image generation is additionally governed by third-party provider policy and follows separate rules (see section 5).

3. Prohibited

Sexual depiction of minors, sexual use of any character framed or implied as under 18, and indirect forms such as age regression are prohibited without exception and are automatically blocked. Violations result in permanent account termination and, where required, a report to the relevant authorities.

Also prohibited: impersonation or deepfakes of real people and sexual content depicting real people, facilitating or soliciting actual illegal acts, threats or harassment directed at real people, and attempts to bypass safety systems.

4. User-created characters

They are automatically reviewed before publication and may be unpublished or removed by operators following reports. Repeat violations lead to restrictions.

5. AI image (avatar) generation

Unlike text conversations, AI image generation is routed through a third-party image provider, so that provider's content policy and our payment processor's requirements also apply. Image prompts therefore undergo separate review, and explicit sexual imagery, depictions of minors, and depictions of real people cannot be generated.

This limitation reflects third-party provider policy rather than a toona preference and may change if that policy changes.

6. Reporting

Report inappropriate characters or content via the report button on each character page or at support@toona.chat.
